Release of Muntjak and Porcupines at Sanggabuana

The Cikananga Wildlife Center participated in the release of protected wildlife, organized by the West Java Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BBKSDA) and Kostrad, the Indonesian Army.

A second chance in nature

In total 11 Javan Porcupines and one Muntjac Deer which were rehabilitated at the Cikananga Wildlife Center, returned to their natural habitat. Also, 2 Crested Serpent Eagles from the Kamojang Eagle Conservation Center and 1 Common Palm Civet from Lembang Park also were released as part of the same imitative back to their natural habitat. The Sanggabuana Mountains area is a habitat in West Java that cover rainforests, supporting a range of wildlife species.
