Interns help Cikananga!
Cathrin has been an intern at Cikananga for two months doing a biodiversity survey of our #organic farms. She has also taken a particular interest in enrichment for our primates, part of our daily activities for #volunteers and #interns. Cikananga’s two orangutans, Dodo and Noni, have been here since 2008. They were previously pets and have had to relearn many of the natural behaviors that are usually taught by mothers in the wild. In order to encourage these natural behaviors, the team at Cikananga tries to provide them with #enrichment that keeps them entertained, curious, and mentally stimulated.
